The Emergency Operations Center (EOC), when activated, brings together key agencies and jurisdictions that are needed in response to a large-scale emergency or disaster. This technologically advanced facility was opened in 2008. Equipped with a kitchen area, five wall display projectors, media and communications monitoring can all be accomplished from this area. With over sixty operations officer positions, and a state of the art emergency communications center, Monroe County proudly boasts the newest and largest full-time Emergency Operations Center in the State of Michigan!
Public alert notification, weather monitoring and other emergency messaging are handled through the Emergency Communications Center (ECC), located adjacent to the EOC.
