Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The WIOA is designed to help job seekers access labor market information, job leads, education, training and support services to succeed in obtaining self-sufficiency. One-on-one job search, classroom training, on-the-job training, career counseling, case management, and job retention services are available through the WIOA program.

Dislocated Worker Program

Dislocated workers are individuals in a declining field who have been permanently laid off, or have received notice of termination or plant closure. The program may also serve individuals who are:

  • Unemployed due to outdated skills, economic conditions or self-employment
  • Unemployed due to jobs lost to import competition
  • Unemployed farmers who have lost their farms
  • Displaced homemakers

Adult Program

Adults include individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Eligibility for the Adult Program is income based and can be determined after meeting with a staff member.
