Baby Think It Over

Baby Think It Over Parenting Program

The baby think it over program uses simulated real-life experience to address pregnancy, healthy choices, basic infant care, parenting and issues such as fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) and shaken syndrome. Youth experience what it is like to be pregnant by wearing a pregnancy profile simulator vest and are given the responsibility to care for a "real care" baby. These babies are computerized life-sized infants that youth must feed, burp, rock and diaper at regular intervals. Each baby contains multiple computerized sensors that can detect whether these needs are being met and each youth is given a detailed report on how well they attended to the baby's needs.
