DARE Program

The Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Monroe Intermediate School District is able to provide D.A.R.E. instruction to fifth-grade students at various schools throughout Monroe County. A D.A.R.E. Board comprised of various school and public officials govern the program. Deputy John Bills is assigned as the D.A.R.E. instructor for the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Bills teaches D.A.R.E. at Ida Public Schools, Dundee Schools, Mason Consolidated, St. Charles, St. Pat’s, St. Mary’s, Trinity Lutheran, Holy Ghost, Jefferson, Custer, Arborwood, Manor, Waterloo, Raisinville, Triumph and St. Joe’s Erie. 

Deputy Bills instructs an average of 1,250 students annually.
