Historical Aerial Photography
The Monroe County Community Planning has many files which are of a historical nature. For example, we have aerial photography for Monroe County dating back to 1940. Photography is available for the years 1940, 1955, 1957, 1964, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010. Persons/firms wishing to view items such as these may do so upon making an appointment in advance.

Based on adopted County policy, any person, firm or organization desiring to view stored materials/files (any item not used in the staff's daily work routine) of Monroe County Community Planning shall first make an appointment to allow staff time to retrieve requested items. The combined time spent in the retrieval of items and assistance provided person/firms, etc., at the time of viewing shall be billed at a rate of $30.00 per hour or fraction thereof. The cost of providing copies of any materials viewed shall be in addition to the retrieval fee and at a rate set and adopted by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners.
