The Courthouse is now open to the public and although the Monroe County Clerk’s Office is open for in person business, you may also apply for the following services via mail or drop box. Drop boxes are located at the Courthouse, Bedford Sheriff's Substation and Maybee Sheriff's Substation.

The County Clerk is general recorder of various official County records, such as births, deaths, marriages, business and professional registration and Circuit Court records. The County Clerk is clerk to the Circuit Court, is secretary to nearly all official County Boards and Commissions, including Board of Commissioners, and is the administrative official of the County Election Commission.
The Register of Deeds office records official documents affecting ownership such as deeds, plats, mortgages, and land contracts. In addition, recording can be made of other official documents. Digital images are made of all documents recorded in addition to journal records. The Register of Deeds also serves as Chairman of Monroe County Plat Board.
